You should NOT be posting the release dates of the new Intel chipsets. You put up an image in one of the forum threads. Remove it. Notice you took this image from Anandtech and they have also been told to remove the dates.
_____________

I checked and this information is still up on Anandtech.

Who is he to say I should NOT post Chipset information that was publicly released?

This guy?s signature said he was ADAM from Tweak3d.net

What would you do?

I'm not registering just to read that thread. :)

If information is publicly released by the company, then they can't ask you to remove it. If it was leaked in some way then they can ask, but unless it's a "trade secret" I don't think they can really do anything about it. Of course, it's illegal for you to post an image taken from another site without permission. :)

I don't know specifically which article you're talking about on AT either.

I gave a link to where the picture came from in that post so that others could read more about the chipsets at Anandtech.

I don't think it's illegal unless I'm trying to profit or plagiarize Anandtech's work for which I'm not.

It was used as a ?learning tool? to aid others in the knowledge of future Intel motherboards.

However this is not the issue...

As I said, you're fine. Don't take it down.

They just don't want their readers to see how much better Anandtech is than their site so they don't loose too many people.

I was reading his information and started to think, "What does he have to gain?"
I'm not taking it down and even if I wanted it removed only Rodney at 3GM could
remove it at this point because after 5min you can't edit posts.

I was thinking because I've been to tweak3d.net a few times once before.
Perhaps they turned off the AUTO WINXP SMART*** Reply? ROFL!

A link to an image isn't illegal. Posting the actual image without permission is illegal, assuming it's copyrighted which everything on AT is. Doesn't matter what your uses for it are. The only time it's legal is if you're using it as a "review" of something where you quote to provide an example.

I used it as an example in a thread talking about the new Intel T socket.
Now that I've gone back to re-read the Anandtech article the "TimeFrame information" has been removed.

Oh well.. it can still can be found all over the net.
