Hmmm. What to do with this OC192 equipment? Anyone got fibre to their house? Free bandwidth! (NOT, as I like my job)

Anyways, if I had a free OC48, i'd resell a lot of the bandwidth, and host download.com so I wouldn't have to deal with their crappy pop-ups.

you think download.com would run okay on a single oc48? i have no clue as to how much bandwidth it uses-- im sure its a lot though

I would sell most of it since no servers that I know of will be serving data at those speeds... I would build a kickarse colo facility though.

I am posting this from an OC-3 an it's not that much faster... sure I get the occasional 2MB/s download from some places, but they are very few and far between.

If I could, I would... imagine how fast your forums would be! :Q

I have no idea what their usage is, but remember that an OC48 is 2.4Gbps (300MB/s)... you'd need a LOT of users to saturate that connection.

My site is hosted on an OC48. Unfortunately, the server SUCKS ASS. :|

But, oh well. I would play a lot of Solitaire.

If I had the money for my own OC48, I sure as hell wouldn't waste it on an OC48. There's absolutely nothing that I need to upload or download so quickly that my cable can't deliver.

20 minutes sh!t/shower/shave in the bathroom.
20 minutes eating
20 wife bitching me out

Do I have to PAY for this OC-48?!? If so, I'd probably start my own wireless ISP, and resell my bandwidth. My service would be so awesome, I would wipe the floor with Verizon and Optimum Online in my neighborhood!
