What would you do with an extra 8k?

Hmm, I'm actually in the same situation but with 12. Spent 2 paying off all debt aside from student loans (since the interest is so damn low), and am leaving the rest to buy a new (probably used) car with.

I would put it in a forex account and use it to make oodles of money.

I doubt you have the technical knowledge to invest correctly so my idea is probably not a good idea for you.

8k is peanuts for investing. I have a lot more than 8k in my money market accounts. I am talking about using it for something fun besides a couple of bets at high stakes blackjack.

I'd do what I always do when I run into an extra few thousand dollars - buy another fun older sporty car.

i would remodel my kitchen - immediate benefit for me, plus boosts my home's value, so it's essentially an investment as well

I would buy a very remote plot of land and use it as a place to do recreation like my own shooting range, paintball with friends, dirtbike track.

and maybe eventually when i get mor emoney build my own cabin on it

With 100:1+ margin, 8k can control quite a bit of cash.

I would put 1k to online poker as a bankroll
2k to buy some musical equipment that i want to learn off of.
the rest save for my study abroad trip to japan in the fall.

What would that be?

20,922,789,888,000 bucks for a 1 dollar tri. If there are 16 horses.

8k wouldn't buy a whole lot of land.

I'd buy 2857 gallons of unleaded gasoline and sell it in 6 months for only twice as much as it costs now.

Is that math right? 😕 I think I need to go back to statistics class, I came up with 4096.
