What would you do with $300?

Through avenues I cannot disclose, I have been granted a hefty sum of about three-hundred lovely smackaroos. It's a great, great fortune, though now the problem of how I should spend it has arisen.

So if you were given $300, what would you buy? No creative answers. I'm looking for that raw, impulsive, techno-geek gut feeling. What gadget would you splurge on? What up-and-coming device? What shiny gizmo? The product should be priced around $300, but it doesn't have to be exactly that. I say a +/- $150 is fine.

My initial idea: Creative Zen Vision:M, but then I figured that the vision:m isn't brand new and its shelf life is jeapordized by the upcoming Zune...

iaudio A2 30GB would be the first choice even though it's over $300.

I'd also look at sennheiser HD595 or HD600, or Shure E5s.

Then again, I might use the money to buy myself a electric guitar. Or a Wacom Intuos3 6*8 tablet since I'm not really satisfied with 4*5.

And if I don't get any of those, I would settle for a third tennis racquet (I hate it when I break a string on 2 racquets in the span of 2 days, which actually ahppened recently).

If nothing comes to mind right away, then don't spend it. You shouldn't have to think for something to buy. Save it for when something you actually want comes along.

$300 isnt going to get you anything thats nearly as great as what you're looking for.... $300 would buy one text book at university for me.

Wrong. An AK-47 is going to be much much much more expensive, along with the form 4 submitted to the ATF.

You must mean a imitation, like a WASR-10 ;)

A postban wasr-10, a metal file and a colt 45 will cost you $400. As long as you're not retarded, I'm rather confident that's all you need to make it full auto (or into a "true" AK as you suggest). I said nothing about it being fully automatic or legal

Wrong. Filing down the sear to make it full auto is an urban legend, it doesnt work that way.
