I get up every day at 7:30, I have class at 9... one of my roommates has the *exact* same schedule, and usually gets up around 8:15 but lately he has been sleeping in.. should I bother waking him up? I mean, hell it's not my job to be his alarm clock (and the other roomie agreed) so he was like trying to blame me when I got back from class that I didn't wake him up but I was like dude get a better alarm clock I'm not your mom :|

Oh BTW I finally hit 1000 baby!

I'm with you. You have no obligation whatsoever to serve as your roomie's alarm clock. He just has some growing up to do. Well that's what college is for I guess.

Grats on your 1000th. Do you get a prize? :p

ya just wake him up... play some loud music or something, you don't have to physically go and drag him out of bed

if he asks you to. I have the same problem as that guy. I couldn't get up for the life of me, but I would always ask my roommate to wake me up if we had the same class or got up at the same time. Open the blinds, kick his bed, and say get out of bed you lazy f-ck :)

i can see waking him up a couple of times but not on a daily basis. if that's the case, the guy needs to learn some responsibility.

Thanks for the input (I better get a prize damnit!)

I think I'll just do it on a day to day basis, it's his own fault, he turns off the alarm and goes to sleep so I have no sympathy at all.

It is DEFINATELY not your job to wake him up! I can see if his alarm clock went off and he slept through it every once in awhile. But you waking him up on a regular basis if he decides to sleep in a little? No way.

Here's a thought: buy him an alarm clock for Christmas with a REALLY LOUD buzzer.

Get him up about 6am a few days straight, he will soon get the message. It worked for me.

The more creative you are about waking him, the more he will start to wake up on his own.
