If your CEO (the King of your company) ask you to notarize a person that will not be present during the notarization, and from what you learned that is illegal, what would you do?

I would say, "I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to do that by law. I'm sure you understand."

Actually the company lawyer might be a good idea. Regardless, if the boss is an ass he can make life miserable for you at the office, but in that case i guess it's a big sign that says "move on". The ceo has done similar things like that in the past, so i guess it's not a blessing when my wife obtained the notary cert.

What's your legal liability if you know it's illegal, tell them so, but feel that you are being compelled to do it in order to keep your job?
