What would you do if

Did a search for this and couldn't find anything that matched, so if it's a repost, I apologize.

If you found out that your SO used to be someone else, like a member of the mafia or a hitman/hitwoman or something unsavory like that, what would you do? How would you react?

For more clarification, say up until 5 years ago your SO was a member of the mafia and killed people. They had some kind of epiphany and wanted to start over so they moved away, changed their name, and became a model citizen. you meet and fall in love. somehow you find out about your SO's past.

How do you react?

I do try.... not like it is any big mystery what happens in the movie though. I mean just from the title of the movie you can figure out he isn't who he says he is.

its obvious that he's not exactly who he is, but it didn't cross my mind that he was ex-mafia. i was thinking he was ex-military or something like that or that he had amnesia.

i'm going to have to disagree with the not happening very often at all part. i don't mean i think that ex-mafia guys are living out normal lives, but i mean that i believe there's lots of people out there with stuff to hide.

Doesn't matter really. I have done a ton of things in the past I would like to erase from my love life but i cant change it. A thousand men? psh, I would take Jenna J anyday.

Incorrect. Half of the movie or more you are led to wonder whethere it is a case of mistaken identity. Only towards the end do we find out the full truth. I'd say that's a spoiler, yes.

Yeah, so many people on this board like to act (in retrospect, of course) like they knew everything that happened in a movie from the beginning. It's a free e-penis enhancer, but I doubt they'd be quite so prophetic if you asked them what was going to happen before the movie started.

But the movie is called 'A History of Violence' not 'A History of Mistaken Identity'
In the first scene he go's all Chuck Norris on some dudes with a coffee pot & a gun. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie. But you know where the movie is going. The fun is getting there.
