What would you do if you were single, no debt, and had a year's pay in the bank?

I'd travel the world for a while, but not run myself completely out of money.

I like to think this is what I would do, but I'd probably spend it on a 2007 Ford Mustang GT 500 Shelby. :p I'm stupid that way.

get two years pay in the bank, take half of the first year's pay investing, half of the half that is left of first year's pay and put in saving, take second year's pay and travel, win the wsop, live where ever the f*** you want, etc.

a year's pay is a highly variable thing. Even at the median income for the US, you won't have that much ;)

being single or not is not really an issue. Being young would be....having $50k in the bank at 18 or so is a lot different than at 65.

debt would only be an issue if it sapped you monthly income.

Personally I'd need a lot more at 34 years old to make decisions for life changes. A years pay is nice and all but I am not about to blow that now.

If I did win a million bucks, I would probably take a 3-6 month leave and travel. Free money.

This vacation would be to sample what kind of retirement I want to shoot for.

My wife and I just moved back to the states after three years working overseas tax free and I figured out that we could realistically live for between 5 and 6 years without working or hitting any of the investments. What do we do when we get back? Take a week off and get jobs.
