Blacks are discriminated was his point, I imagine. Maybe a nut-less, brain-less wonder like Blue_Max doesn't accept the ever relevant lingering effects of institutional racism, but objective reality does. "Race realism" is still just prejudice by another name, like a pungent, old cigarette stench that just never quite goes away.

Really? There was a mental case that threw a shopping cart into the street, ran into the pizza joint and threatened an employee with a knife. Guess what happened? Cop shot the white guy dead and the family wonders why they didn't deescalate the situation. Personaly, if I was the officer I would have pulled the taser. But when your a police officer, that split second decision is tougher than you might think. Kudos to those involved in this case and not senselessly killing another person for nothing at all.

In the eyes of a police officer it's a damned if you do or damned if you don't world. Same goes for the President.

I wonder where that happened. I think that there could possibly be a correlation between smaller town police departments, as in small town USA not the suburbs or right outside a big city, with relatively low crime rates being more apt to deescalate a situation than higher crime/big city areas.

This is just a hypothesis though, I admit that I have nothing to back it up with.
