What would you do if you were a climber with your arm stuck?

I guess its hard to believe when you've never been in the situation.
But c'mon, cut your own arm off with a pocket knife??!
Amazing.

For those of you who havent heard, this climber got stuck under a boulder for days
and finally cut his arm off to get out.

Also another reason people repost is because people like you don't think hard enough to put a DESCRIPTIVE title on their posts.

For the record, I think I would sit there and cry until I dehydrated.

That's pretty crazy. But I don't imagine it being all that hard once the arm dies/numbs from poor circulation.

Physically it'd be "easy" to do. There would still be immense pain and the psychological aspect of cutting off one of your own limbs

In ATOT, tons of repost police. A little bit too anal for my liking, but I perfer to do a quick search before I post.

What would I do? I probally would have died. Cutting my own limb off doesn't sound appealing to me. Living like that for the rest of my life doesn't sound any better.

Regardless of repost...

That dude is one bad sumnabitch. I would NOT mess with him, even if he did only have 1 arm left. Anyone who cuts off there own arm I aint fvskin with.

On the flip side, the boulder probably pretty well mashed his bone. Chances are his arm was lost even before he cut it off.
