So I was thinkin, what if you recieved a death threat in the mail. The threat hinted at a situation which you knew of and thus knew who sent the threat. What course of action would you take?

Invite him over to your house for coffee. Tell him that you can talk about it and if it can't be resolved, you'll go kill yourself.

Soon as he steps into your house, pull the trigger.

Show the cops the letter and say he rushed in screaming and yelling about how he was going to tear you from limb to limb.

I don't think a death threat is something to take too lightly... I would prolly talk to the police.

I would turn them in.

Cops can't protect you. Nor would they. Threats are not considered attempted murder in their eyes.

Correct, but a death threat can be interpreted as an act of terrorism under the new US Guidelines, and so the FBI would probably we brought in, and the person would definitely be arrested, but prosecution for terrorism is unlikely.

It depends on.

If they're mental or psycho.

If they're serious.

Based on those variables my response would either be to laugh or buy a glock from PAB.

What if it is a plot by a third party who knows when you receive the letter you will assume its from a certain person and you will get trigger happy and kill them?
