Start yelling exactly what he's yelling - only louder. So if you hear, "Ahhhhh," then yell, "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH." Maybe he'll finally get a clue.

Barring that, maybe you can do what I do with my cat when she's being obnoxious. Get an empty pop can, stick a half dozen pennies in it and lob it at him when he gets going. Or you can get a spray bottle and squirt him when he starts moaning.
