I wouldn't care, and perhaps she is in a hurry.

Life is much easier if you don't sweat the little stuffs.

They have gun laws there?

In iOwa they are about to pass a bill where you can take "deadly" force against anyone "you" perceive as threatening you, your family, or intending to cause possible hard.

You know... the NO QUESTIONS ASKED law.
Or the... "don't shoot till you see the whites of their eyes" law.

Heck! You could have just blown her away!!!!! KA BOOM!...lady.
(rotten motor chair commie whore) :D :D :D

unless you value your free time I guess.

If she was in a hurry, she should have stated/asked if she could get ahead of him rather than playing off her handicap.

Allowing someone rude to take advantage of you is a very weak ground and just encourages others to follow suit.

"Coffee and coffee components."?!
You're like some kind of weird coffee loving Hank Hill.
He speaks English though, so there's that difference.

Consider how crappy her life has to be to forgo basic manners with strangers (plus of course the confined to the wheelchair bit) and let it go. Or ask her if she's legs AND manners disabled. Either option works.

This is only marginally related but this story reminded me of that video of 3 black guys washing their car and this white trash in a motorized wheel chair starts yelling racial slurs at them. So the guy with the hose just sprays her until she leaves.

I guess what I'm trying to say is you should have sprayed this woman with a hose.

What would you do if an old lady in mobile wheelchair in her late 50s cut you in a grocery checkout line? would you speak up? or ignore? or tell to her that she can go in front of you? telling her that will make you not lose pride.

I ask cause I experience in real life. I was coming form home and a quick stop to stock up some coffee and coffee components. 1 bag of coffee, 3 small big of some kind of cake and 1 half and half. 5 item total. I look at the shoppers cart in express checkout line and they have pretty much people and pretty much stuff especially the old lady in wheelchair had like 22 items and express line is 15 and under items so I look at normal line and it have few people so I chose normal line......

..........then sudden the old lady at the express line switch line to the line i was in. then seconds later she says excuse me at me and squish in at me and force me to auto move aside... i just knock or nop my head and let her close in.... and close in... and i was like what is she want talking to myself? then close in right in front of me then she ask the man in front of me "excuse me did you put this on my bag" i wait and wait...... over 10 seconds... my face getting red.... they start making other conversation... 14 seconds now and i was like awww man i just got line cut. a women in her 30s at the other line was looking at me and i think she knew whats up too! then I just switch line back to the express line..............

............and guess what? another old lady in her early 50s this time that works here but saw her holding somehing for checkout probly work time off and buying something. she like moving slowly upward till side by side with me....???????? my face was getting red again as i just recovered from the situation from minutes ago. i was like oh shhhiet keep cool dont get red. i just get red easily when akward situation..... i dont know what to do and just act cool.... line slowly move and i slowly move... and she slowly move side by side with me..... then finally to checkout i put my stuff on the slider and everything all good.

mannn what a day. whats up??? old ladies picking on me. im a little quiet asian guy.

what if you are in my shoes? what would you do? especially the situation of the old lady in mobile wheelchair in her late 50s. what would you do?

You should have yelled at her for having too many items and cutting you off. Then if she said anything, draw your gun because your a cop.

I was hoping this story ended with her inviting you back to her nursing home for some fig newtons and champagne, and you removing her Depends ever so slowly, applying A n D ointment all over her seasoned flesh.

I would have spoken up to let her know she was being a douche but then drop it immediately because its not too important and she is old. That still doesn't give her the right to directly be an ass though. So I would have made some type of comment basically just to be nice but still, wtf lady?

Its like people who cut in on a merge skipping alot of traffic. Just so the whole thing flows uninterrupted I still let them in but give them a hard time about it, the "do you know how big your car is at the last second" test. Same deal, its not like im going to try and boot her to the back or anything but she is gonna work for that spot and sweat a little :)

Have you ever driven in north NJ? When there is traffic, you basically tailgate the person in front of you and then pretend you don't see the person trying to cut in front of you.

Someday somebody will put up a good website of unwritten but important rules for driving in different states

If there was a lot of blood, I would first perform first aid and then call the police for assault.

You are not in a hurry, just let her pass. Makes you feel good even in the scenario that she has a bad attitude towards you. Maybe she is in pain or her depends diaper is full, hence the attitude.
Good karma for you. Bad karma for her.
It is on average an exception, a lady in a weelchair. Occasionally i let old ladies or old men pass but only if they look friendly at me and they do not have a cart full of groceries. In the latter situation i might instead invite to help which is almost never needed. Usually old people already have help when they buy a lot of groceries. If the case, you did good and most of the time have to do nothing at all.

Hopefully you realize there aren't predators standing around supermarket check-out lanes to spot the weak one in the herd?
Establishing an assertive image is worth something when you are dealing with people you might deal with again. This case, what are you going to lose if you do nothing? A little bit of standing in line, at worst.

did she pull a switchblade on you? if you can't take an old lady in a wheelchair you have some serious issues.
