Why get involved? Unless it looks like someone is going to get seriously hurt, STAY THE FVCK OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS!

Verbal abuse = nothing or if noticed frequently maybe talk to the neighbors about it

Physical abuse = call the cops immediately, possibly break it up depending on extent of abuse

5 points for namecalling. I'll counter with "u poopyhead!!1". Hah! What do you have to say to that?!?

How do you feel about emo cutters? If you're like most ATOTers you laugh and say something about Darwinism, since they're doing it to themselves. How is a woman who chooses, of all the men out there, Joejimmybob the 6th grade dropout ex-con not doing it to herself? How is a woman who stays in an abusive relationship because she "loves him" not doing it to herself?

Same exact thing. The only reason you see a difference is your conditioning to revere the feminine.

"Verbal abuse" isn't anything. A lot of people yell things at each other; I wouldn't get involved.
Even if it was one-sided? Also, repeatedly telling someone to kill themselves because they are a waste or that they are stupid because they can't do anything right can't be good for the psychy.

When you insert yourself into other people's lives, you better be prepared to protect yourself from all parties involved. Often the good samaratin ends up the only victim.

You seem to keep adding "what ifs" regardless of what people respond. Generally it's right to MYOB, but you can't stand by when people are being hurt either. The line is somewhere in the middle, but when you cross it, understand that noone will be happy about it.

I didn't say that it wasn't her fault, but I'd still do my best to stop it while I'm observing it.

Would you still mind your own business?
Ummm.. why are you equating cheating and abuse?
Because one is a direct injury (abuser) and one is indirect injury (cheater). The loser in both cases is the spouse.

And have some half-chimp have a vendetta against you? I'd rather not risk getting into some kind of life-long feud like that. Especially because some dumb skirt just couldn't help herself from being attracted to Bonzo the amazing Chimpman. Let the riffraff sort itself out. I have my own life to live.

I posted in the other thread to mind your own business, but if someone is being physically hurt, then I think it's time to intervene...preferably anonymously, so the raging neighbor guy doesn't beat the ****** out of you too :).

Sometimes the woman already chooses to leave, but the guy follows. Some of my female friends have had ex's turn into stalker types that we joke about, but don't let her walk around at night alone because of.

Chase to her apartment and wait outside until cops are called, vandalize vehicles, such and so on.

Except that while cheating may or may not cause physical harm down the road, actual physical abuse will. Or worse...

I'd stop the beating, probably by beating.

Seriously, if I saw any man hitting a woman, I'd stop it. Doesn't matter if it's someone I know or not.

Bit off topic, the thread was 'if you saw physical violence happening'.

In the case you described, I'd look into a restraining order, possibly a concealed carry permit if her state allows that... I'd also be suspicious that the stalker is another Bonzo the Chimpman, and that the situation could easily have been avoidable, if women weren't so attracted to morons...

I would say that verbal/emotional abuse is just as bad if not worst than most physical pain minus anything permanent, e.g., brain damage, etc.
