What would you do if there was a zombie epidemic?

I don't think .22 is big enough to take out a zombie.

I beg to differ. If, as everyone says, you need to take out a zombie's brain, you would only need a decent headshot to drop a zombie, and they aren't exactly fast, so you could hit them easily enough.

Didn't see 28 Days Later, but I'm betting that most zombies won't have the speed and manuverability of an Olympic athlete.

My dad is a gun collector, I'd drive to my parents house and start helping my dad and brothers (who would have done the same) to secure all windows, and so on. After which time we would all arm ourselves and head down to the grocery store to stock up. Then it would be about living as long as you could, killing as many of those zombie bastards as you could

I would try and get a hold of a Jeep Wrangler first. They are very capable off-road vehicles and the gas mileage is better than most trucks, which would be good when running though zombie-infested territory.... I wouldn't want to stop for anything.

After I got the Jeep, I would go to Wal-Mart and steal a .22 hunting rifle and as much ammo as I could fit into my truck. I'm a decent shot, so I could make each shot count and .22 ammo is light and plentiful.

I would get some other necessary survival items, and go to a small warehouse, since there are very few or no windows and it is a very sound structure. It would also be a lot easier to defend. I would then go and stock the warehouse with a bunch of nonperishables and the ammo. Get some extra fuel for the Jeep, park it inside and batton down the hatches.

That would be about it, but if I had the resources and time, I would weld some steel plates to the inside of the Jeep's windows and open a small slit in the winshield to see. I would probably get a plow and put it on the front in case the zombie mob was thick.

You've thought waaaaay to much about this....

but if there was a zombie epidemic, I know who I'm going to follow around.

If there was a Zombie epidemic, the question is moot. It is already too late to prepare. Those of us who have been preparing would have cornered everything necessary for us to survive, including enough ammunition to ward off the people who were too stupid to get ready.

Are you saying that you've already prepared for the oncoming zombie invasion?

you'd be surprised how many of us have

and by "zombie" you don't have to mean undead, it could be any ravaging mob that is around after any world altering occurance such as plague, biological warfare, small scale nuclear war, etc.

You speak as if the invasion plan is already in motion. Have you heard something that I haven't? :Q

Have you ever played Half-Life 2? Those fast zombies were crazy fast and could jump like Superman!

Sadly this is a conversation I've had before on more than one occasion.. 1st call a few important people, 2nd using gun collection and ammo fight way into wal-mart whole up in wal-mart. Plenty of food, entertainment, generators, bedding, guns, ammo, storm doors to protect the windows, and high shelving to safely sleep on at night.
