What would you consider the best series

There are several movies out there with triologies.

Which one (overall) would you consider the best?

For example. Matrix Triology. Starwars, Beverly Hill Cop, American Pie, etc.

godfather trilogy. the first 2 were sooooooooo good that #3 could've been 2 and a half hours of coppola's daughter taking a crap while reading the sunday edition of the new york times (it was pretty damn close in comparsion to her acting abilities and the story-line [no tom hagan, wtf?!]), that it overshadow's the fact that #3 was not as great.

i wouldve gone bttf or indiana jones... but i have three words for each series: wild wild west? (and) temple of doom*.

?i understand they could only go so far as storylines go jumping back from the 60's to 2016, but take it to the wild wild west?!
*temple isnt a bad movie, just not as great. prequel or not, i wanted nazi's perishing dammit!
