I wanted to compare a similar computer to mine in terms of power consumption and that was the only variant, thanks.

Clock speed has a big effect on power consuption as well as leakage current, and the prescot if famous for both of em

The Prescott, and if I had to guess off hand, it's a decent margin between the two.. o_o

Most likely, the Athlon under full load is still under the Prescott idle.
