I enjoy my work, but this cheap @ss company won't even consider giving me the $$$ what my line of work deserves. I like my boss but the big boss is a big cheap skate! On a positive note, they will pay for my schooling and certification... i guess once i get my CCDA i'm ditching this company. What would U do? Btw, i'm not posting my job or earning cuz it's pretty embarrasing. Maybe i'll move the US... (ah, I'm just ranting) peace out.

Providing their isn't any rules stating you have to work their for XX amount of years after footing your education bill, I'd get myself a degree/cert or two under my belt and then jump ship.

Keep up your quality of work so it doesn't hurt your references in the future.

[edit]Have you talked to your boss (or his boss) about a raise? Hit Salary.com and see what you should make in this position in your area. If you are on good terms with your boss, it shouldn't hurt too much to ask him if there is any hopes of a raise.

Ask for a raise? I would just milk them for the free schooling and stuff and then beat feet. Remember, you don't owe them anything if they undervalue you. Unless you're the janitor or something. What do you do? It can't be that embarrasing unless you're a poo sweaper or something.

Do what you have to do. I know some jobs I would love to go back to but they don't pay enough.

Hello, I do Lan Support. Job is support our segment, basic router config (really basic), system rollouts, admin for Netware (when needed), setup server cabinets, troubleshoot PCs, RAS setup, etc. I get projects and things to do. It's actually a very fun job. I'm 22 BTW. I do feel undervalued. Actually i'm still on contract, and they offered me a full time position (i get along with everyone at work). I'll check out salary.com. thanks for the link. peace out.
