"Sony's super-sexy secret game to be revealed at the Tokyo Games Show in October
Some time ago, the Internet was all a-buzz with the rumor that Sony had yet to reveal a "super secret" title - presumably for the PlayStation 3 - and as of now, we're still without any concrete information. However, the latest edition of the Official PlayStation Magazine seems to have some inside details concerning the mystery title...
As most every avid gamer knows, the Tokyo Game Show kicks off in October, and if history is any indication, we should see the publishers reveal several relatively significant announcements. And based on recent info gathered from OPM, Sony is primed and ready to drop the bomb during TGS 2008. The direct quote is, "Sony's super-sexy secret game to be revealed at the Tokyo Games Show in October. We're ready with the big words." There are leaked images of the blurb in question, but sadly, we can't seem to locate any reliable details on this subject. As usual, we'll contact SCEA and kindly request any information they may be willing to part with, but we can predict the response. Essentially, Sony has a policy of never commenting on speculation and rumor, and if they do have something big to unveil at TGS, they're not about to let it slip now. OPM can hint all they want, but at this point, the ball is in Sony's court, and we'll just have to wait.
Well, now that this rumor has resurrected, what do our well-informed readers think? Will we finally see Shadow of the Colossus 2? The original was a magnificent artistic accomplishment that provided gamers with a unique and engaging interactive experience, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel ever since. We know for a fact that Team ICO is currently working on at least one PS3 project, and we at PSXE firmly believe this mystery "super-sexy secret game" will come from that studio. Any backers for this theory?
