What would the maximum amount you would spend on a first date be?

It be easier then to get a escort then.

I think it depends on what age group you and her are. I think both high school and college maybe 25 bucks. Obviously older women expect better so nice restaurant could cost more than 50 dollars. If you got the cash you can go higher just to impress her.

I wouldn't set a maximum. Dating is not like trying to get a good deal on batteries at Wal-mart. As long as I was having fun, I'd be open to spending more money on more drinks, hotel rooms, whatever else was needed.

I have never thought of putting a maximum. Just spend what ends up being appropriate for whatever you're doing costs. Just don't be a cheapskate and give the waiter a crappy tip or something.

I think the first date with my ex was like $150...but that was because it was all day. I didn't care...we were just having fun. With my current girlfriend, our first "official" date was like $45 bucks. I had just as much fun on both dates.

Yeah...but an escort is like putting your money in a mutual fund...sure you'll make some money...but boring and predictable as hell.

Spending money on a random girl you want to sleep with is like going to Vegas. Much more fun and you never know how good your return will be.

I have, in the past, spent quite a bit on a first date. I would say that anything over a couple grand would be excessive, but it's all relative anyway.

geez, speak for yourself. Even in highschool i often spent more on a single friday for myself, let alone a date.

By first date do we mean that you don't really know the person at all yet? I'd spend maybe $10 max. First dates for me are never more then meeting at a coffee house or something for a bit of chatting. I keep it light and cheap, because in most cases I won't have an interest in seeing them again.

$100, tops, but that would be unusual, because if I'm paying for everything, then why am I hooking up with this high maintenance ho? So, although I voted $100, I think really I would expect to go at least semi-splits with a girl. If she wants me to pay for it all, she better finish the evening...well, I won't say it.

No limit... I would want the first date to be memorable (since she's going to remember it if you end up staying together)
But, I wouldn't let it get out of hand.

sounds like most of your first dates sohuld be second dates. $100 is way to much to spend on someone that you might not even like!!!! or vice versa!!!
