It's NOT the speakers. What happens is that sometimes (about 30% of the time) when going from desktop to game or game to desktop (open/close the game) the front left channel cuts out. Not cuts out is in "staticky or intermittent" but no sound whatsoever. The rear left channel is fine.
From fiddling, I found the only way to make it come back is to either:
a)reboot (takes too long) OR
b)Control Panel\Audio HQ\Speakers\Change it from 4-speakers to 2-speakers and back to 4-speakers.
I guess it's software related. I'm running the latest SBlive 5.1 W2K drivers as well as the latest Vias.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it. It's more of a minor annoyance than anything, but I'd like to kill it off. Thanks.
