Thats not the right title, but couldn't think of anything else.

The right question is, where did Geeksquad go wrong? What could they have done differently? To be the best, what would they have to do?

since they use the new VW beetle for their Squad
cars - take one and glue an older iMac on top of it.
the CRT iMac, the one that looks like the new VW Beetle.

that would look classic.

They could have genuinely competent technicians for starters...

And they could all drive Corevettes! :D

1) Hire actual PC repair techs that know what they are doing.

2) Pay the PC techs a lot more than minimum wage (the only way to hire competent techs).

3) Dump the moronic advertisements that only help convince customers that the Geek Squad is made up of idiots hired off the streets because they were able to correctly identify the differences between a PC keyboard and a slice of toast two out of three times.

4) Charge customers the same ridiculous prices they currently do but only keep a reasonable amount for the store and use the rest to pay previously mentioned techs (instead of keeping more than 80% as pure profit like they do now).

5) Don't keep customers' computers for two weeks just to install a new stick of RAM.

Charge reasonable prices. Charging more than the cost of a software or product to install it is absolutely outrageous. $40 to install a $35 piece of RAM, $30 to set up iTunes.
