What would have happened if Qui-Gon Jinn had listened to Yoda about Anakin Skywalker?

If Qui-Gon had lived, he would have been able to bring up Anakin right, and he wouldn't have turned to the dark side. There were plenty of instances where the Jedi made Anakin out to be a "danger" a self fulfilling prophecy.

The Jedi were flawed in the PT, and by the OT Yoda has realized the error of his ways and allows Luke to overcome instead of shielding him from his emotions. In the end of the movies, Luke only wins by channeling the dark side to take down Vader, but does not fall. It is the goodness in his heart that made Luke a great Jedi, it was his ability to overcome his emotions. Anakin (and the rest of the PT Jedi) are not given a chance to face their emotions and take control of them. Anakin has to supress his emotions until they boil over and bring the Jedi down.

Sorry for the nerd rant.

WTF didn't they understand about "bringing balance to the force"? Let's see, the Jedis are in a position of power, overseeing matters across the republic. How could balancing do anything but shift strength away from them?

With the Sith around doing what they do that leaves the force out of balance since they are such whores for the darkside lol. Anakakin finally brings balance to the force by destroying Darth Vader ie redeeming himself, and then destroying Darth Sidious, no more Sith, force in balance at long last, all ends well.

i pretty much agree. qui gon wouldn't have sheltered him h would have raise dhim right and he would have told him when he was in the wrong in a way he would have learned from. obi wan didn't do this he tried being a friend to darth rather than being a father figure. he also was too hard on him and didn't let him grow as a person

it is a movie. it happened the way it did. star wars is a story, george lukers wrote it. there were three good movies and three horrible movies, in my eyes they cancel eachother out and the star wars trilogy never existed. the end.
