Everybody who works there would get huge raises with unbelieveable benefits, there would be monstrous waste in their spending and little or nothing more would be accomplished than there is now.

Probably the only major difference at this point would be that we'd have the capability of launching missiles from earth orbit rather than from missile silos on the ground.

I would think that we'd be permanantly on the moon and Mars. There'd be a lot more research done on nuclear drives. There'd probably even be a space elevator.
