what would happen if i have to spend overlimit on one of my credit cards?

well i requested a limit raise but it has to be over a year after i get the card til that can happen.

My limit is only $800 on a amex blue student card

what would happen if i spend over the limit?

i have about $730 credit left out of the $800 but i have to charge the credit card $1000 which is going to put me over the limit

i know they will charge me a 30 or so dollar overlimit fee but what else? for the amex blue student card


also the 300 or so difference, can i pay that off overtime?
