Lets say every governor, senate member, member of congres, etc, etc. were all honest and had integrity, and a good work ethic. What would the outcome be? Would this Country or its big Corporations still be as succesfull?

The Earth would explode in a fiery reign of molten lava and life as we know it would cease.

I'm sure it would be something similar to a time paradox and the universe would ass-plode.

See Time Cop, Futurama, etc.

They wouldn't be politicians anymore?

Government and corruption have gone hand in hand since ancient times.

Why not? Usually honesty is only a liability if someone else is heavily dishonest.

Yes the world would implode.. honest politicians don't exist because a lot of people expect to be lied to... I would never vote an honest politician into office. First, he would never win. Second, if he did get into office he would pisse everyone off because we would always tell the truth... people cannot handle the truth...

There would be mass hysteria, panic, and fear as a result of the politicians releasing confidential/classified information.

the politician who's smart and lies and such will be the winner. Even if most everyone was like that, there will always be another that'll snake his way to the top.

Honesty doesn't mean you have to release classified information. A simple "No comment" or "That's classified" will do just fine.

The collective heads of all the neocon Christian conservatives out there would implode. We'd see that Bill Clinton's "dirty little business" is the norm in congress and for that matter most of the business and legal world.

Democracy would be almost pointless because the elected officials would vote the way they wanted.

this reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons

"Imagine a world without lawyers" and everyone is dancing under rainbows.

The only thing that would change would be the amount of publicity for campaigns--they would all agree not to say a single thing until they were elected.

Well with that mindset, you're absolutely right.
