What would do?

I have to make a quick decision. I have an IT friend who upgraded a server. He bought some Mushkin "222 Special" for the upgrade. It is great memory. He has a contact that has some extra modules at a great price since the company he (my friend) works for buys a lot of stuff from his company. I'm got a Abit NF7-S. Should I spend a few extra bucks on the Mushkin 222 (PC3200, CAS 2-2-2, 3.2GB/s) or should I get some PC3500, CAS 2-3-3, 3.5GB/s. Cash is not the object. I want stability and a little gaming speed. Anybody with any suggestions? Thanks.

^^^ This mean's yer thread makes no sense

Congrats

Hey guys, What I want to know is the performance value. Would you select memory at 3.2GB/s or PC3500 at CAS 2-3-3 at 3.5 GB/s ? What will perform better of will I not see any difference?

Thanks for the feedback. Dannyboy you have a good point. Why get the 400 bus speed memory if you're not getting the 400 fsb chip! The difference in cost is not worth mentioning. Still if you had the choice what memory, what would you use with nforce board and the Athlon 3200? I don't want to have any regrets after I make the purchase. You guys have more experience than I do. That is why I ask. I want a second and third opinion if I should take my friends offer. Thanks

It really depends on how good of a deal it is. If it is actually that good of a deal, buy it, and if you have regrets, you could turn around and sell it on ebay and probably make some money, then get the higher stuff. Unless you are doing high overclocking, you will not see any difference.
