I recently installed a new Westen Digital 7200 rpm 200gb hard drive and I ran a system scan at PC Pit Stop.com and I got this message.

"Video performance of this system, 69.14 megapixels per second, is significantly lower than average.

Systems with the same processor and amount of memory typically perform at a level of 151 Mp/s. PC Pitstop's video test measures the 2D performance of the video board, which is used to draw windows, icons, and fonts on typical desktop applications such as word processors and browsers. It does not measure the 3D capabilities used by high-end games."

"In Windows XP, you may be able to get better video performance by turning off some of the "eye candy" features. To do that, go to Control Panel | System | Advanced tab | Performance Settings | Visual Effects. In this dialog, you can select "Adjust for best performance" or "Custom" and select just the features you want. Some users have reported that "Smooth edges of screen fonts" has a significant effect on performance."

The only other thing that poped up was that I needed to defrag my C:. I tired adjusting the settings, but it only uped it to 73mp. I tried switching drivers but its still coming up. Anyone have any suggestion? By the way my video card is a ATI 9800 Pro with the 4.9 drivers installed. Thanks.

Is there any other site that you recommend or that anyone recommends?

Don't worry about benchmarks, especially if they're not ones that are known to be at least somewhat reputable (like 3DMark).... if things are playing fine, play your games and be done with it! Benchmarks are boring games.

Thanks, I haven't really tired many games, i'm still loading up software. The one game I did try ran fine but it really wasn't a CPU or Video hog.
