What would cause this bizzarre problem?

Odd problem:

BFG 6800 GT works in one machine but not another.

Nvidia Geforce 4 works in both.

Motherboard broken? Why would one card work but not another?

What are the PSUs in these systems? And the rest of the specs?

PSU in the system w/ the bad mobo problem is a OCZ powerstream 520. Works fine...

PSU in the other one is a 350W Antec

350 should be fine. I run my 6800Gt on an Vantec Ion which is 350 watt. We need some more specs between the 2 systems. Also when you say it "doesn't run" what is, or isn't, it doing?

I had the same issue with my 6800, it did not like my Aureal snd card and/or drivers. Would work fine in one comp and not another. There were no IRQ conflicts, it was purely something else. I re-formatted twice before I figured out what the problem was.

I'm running my 6800LE @400/1200 with no problems off my Antec 350watt Smart Blue PSU.

check the rails on the PS and see if any come up short for the recommended

guys... it works in the comp with the lesser PSU... i dont think its the PSU...


edit --- and it wont even post on the other machine... with no pci cards or anything...

it USED to.. but not now...

Asus A8v rev. 2.0

works in my old 2000 Alienware .... dunno what the Mobo is there... I think its an MSI.
