For the past week, been trying to figure out why a Gigabyte Designare x399 motherboard's reset button doesn't work and the motherboard's power button that will only turn the rig on but not off. The rig powers up, but will not post nor is there a video signal. It's for a Threadripper rendering rig I built in 2021 that worked fine up to a week ago. Tested 2 different GPU's and 3 PSU's with no success. Hoping someone here who's built a lot of rigs might have some insight before replacing the MB.

Did you try unplugging the wires for the reset and power button that goes to the case, and then trying the motherboard buttons?

Tested to see if the reset and power buttons on the case were stuck so I disconnected both and there was no change.

Remove all non-essential items from being connected to the motherboard, i.e. front panel connectors, USB devices, hard drives, etc. Get it to as barebones as possible, CPU, single stick of ram, 24 pin and EPS connectors only. See what it does. If it appears to try to post but you get a VGA error add a video card and try again.
