What would cause mIRC not to resume?

I've been trying to resume files i've sent to people and they won't resume, why?

Come on, one you guys must have expert experience with mIRC.

Um this might sound obvious but do the people have auto-resume on or are they actually clicking resume?

When you say not resume, do you mean it just starts over?

They have auto-resume on, I just keep seeing, Cannot Resume - Invalid Parameters error message.

The file is prbably diferent than the one they already partly have.
