I'm using Win98SE and several times now Nortons has caught a change to my boot-records, sometimes I'd be just surfin...other times my computer would be idle and I come back seeing this warning. Nortons gives ya 3 options...either ignore..restore old boot-record..or run NAV.
1st time his happened I just ignored but soon after that windows was starting to wig out, some programs won't work, just wierd stuff. So I wiped and installed fresh, now when I get these warnings I just restore my old boot record.
I assumed this is virus activity but after running NAV nothing is found.
I can see after installing some software making changes but when nothing is going on?
Can anyone shed some light on this...just curious as to whats going on.
