What would Canadian Customs do if...

I imported a 500+ mW handheld radio?

Here in Canada thats the max allowed by law. But if I were to attempt to import higher power radios, would they actually check the specs of the radios to make sure they're not overpowered? If so, and they found out they're too high powered would they send the product back to where it came from? Or what?

I have absolutely no plans on doing this, I was just curious for no apparent reason.

I thought it was like 5 watts in Canada? We had a friend "tweak" a base station of ours once. Just have to know which screw to turn.
