What would be the cheapest opion for me?

I am a swim instructor at wellness facility. I need a way to record live video to a TV (we already have the TV) to help teach diving and racing starts. Our last director used a Tivo with a PC camera but he took it with him when he left. Is there a way I can do the same thing without having to use the Tivo? Cheaper is better to help fit in the budget. Any help would be great.

you diddnt say if you already have a camera - but if you've got an old one, just get a VCR at a flea market or something.
