What would be the best car subwoofers to get?

Give me some ideas. They will be in small truck enclosures somewhere around 0.65 cubic feet.

Thanks

Can't go wrong with JL audio IMO.

Which ones though? 10" or 12"?

Their W7 line is amazing IMO even their 8" ones sound great in an enclosed box and take up minimal room.

I currently have a 18 " W18 from years ago, but it still works so I don't have enough reason to upgrade.

Heres a link to their 8" W7 though you'd be better off getting it somewhere else besides direct I'm sure.

Kicker are good if you want SPL, but they dont sound all that great for SQ. MTX are ok, but there are much better ones out there. What kind of price range are you looking for, and what kind of music?

You may have a hard time finding a decent setup with just 150 watts rms.

I can run 2 amps at 300 rms each if need be, but wanted to just have one and split it.

150w each should give him a very good bass fill. The subs will be inside the cabin so he doesn't need a lot of power to overcome the trunk insualtion like on a car.

If he wants to stay with jl the w1 and w0 should be great for the 150w.

Maybe you should check out a car audio forum. This might be a good place to start.

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66409&highlight=150watts

Its not just as simple as what sub for 150 watts. There are Ohms involved, Single voice coil, dual voice coil, bridging, ect. If you really want something decent, start researching. If you dont really care, talk to a shop and have them help you pick something that will work. I researched for a good 6 months before I purchased my stereo.

I feed mine with a heck of a lot less.

Stroke volume is more important than power
