Hey this is my current comp

AMD Athlon 3700+ stock
X800 XL
1GB PC3200 OCZ Gold Edition
MSI K8N Neo4 MB

I'm sticking with 939 at the moment

I have two choices and need advice

1. Keep my CPU and get this (OC it)

eVGA 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI-E

ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W Power Supply

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro with PWM fan control

$579.68

2. Grab a new CPU and a high end but not so good GPU.

SAPPHIRE Radeon X1950XT 256MB GDDR3

AMD Opteron 170 Denmark 2.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103586

ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817194003

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro with PWM fan control

$569.67

Also will that PSU be enough for either option?

What monitor do you have? What are you using the pc for other than gaming? If you're gaming @ high res go with option 1, if not option 2. The psu will be enough for either option, you might even get by with the 400w version of it, but just to be safe, the 500w one is good.

i wouldnt bother upgrading cpu's atm myself, personal opinion. i had a 64 3500 up untill a few months ago, and the only reason i upgraded, was because i was getting all sorts of errors.
