What would be a good set of settings for a decent overclock on my rig...

I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev 2.0, Barton 2500+ w/ Aero 7 Lite Cooler, and 512mb 3200 TwinMOS ram...

I would appreciate some help with ram timings, fsb & multiplier + voltages etc as I have only done minor overclocks in the past, and have never touched ram overclocking before.

All help is appreciated, thanks
Dan

you have good memory

i would suggest 2-2-2-6 timings as 2-2-2-5 and 2-2-2-7 seem to be slower

you should be able to oc yur 2500+ might oc to 3200+ (200 fsb 1:1 with mem) speeds on default voltage if not try bumping the voltage a little just don't go over 1.8v (shouldn't have to go above 1.75 for a 3200+ speed)

yur mem might need a little bit of voltage to remain fully stable don't be afraid to push it to 2.75v or 2.8v if you have to

you might not even have to raise voltages on anything so only raise them if you have to

if you get 3200+ speeds then you can go from there if you want

just keep an eye on yur temps and stability and don't break anything

good luck

I forgot to say my memory is already on 2-2-2-6 and perfectly stable on default voltage. I was thinking of doing EXACTLY what you said but was afraid I would ah heck something up.

Ill give it a try anyway.

Thanks
Dan

Edit: It was the voltages that concerned me! ;)

Test your ram at 11-2-2-2. Nforce2 Ultra boards love the higher TRAS for some reason. My sisoft scores went up a lot when I put mine up to 11. My 2100 ram beats all 2700 and is up there with 3200 ram ^^
