what would be a good price for a 2003 rsx?

gopunk

Lifer
base auto w/leather

invoice is 20,013, edmunds TMV is 20,416 and MSRP is 21,950... what do you think i should be able to get the price down to? i was thinking $20,300 since the 2004's will be coming in soon...

I'm sure that I could get it down to $18,500 out the door but that's just me.

I'd say $19,900 is a very good price.

i dunno, they only have like 3 of them left on the lot at the dealership i went to... do they even make a profit if it's that far below invoice?

Oops forgot auto transmission, in that case $20,500 out the door (after TTL) is what you should shoot for.

Since it's an '03 they want it OFF THE LOT preferrably you driving it off the lot.

Best time to buy a new car is towards the end of the month.

Read CarBuyingTips.com, print out the invoice price info from Edmunds.com to take with you and remember two things:

1) You can always walk out of there, SOMEONE WANTS TO SELL YOU A CAR. Never be afraid to walk out.

2) Play dealers against each other. I've done this and it works great.

Your self-deprecating excuses are no good here, gopunk! There won't be much "go" in your punking with an auto!

You're not going to take some crap from an exiled Nissan driving Canadian-mofo, are you? 😀

what's ttl? so 20,500 including destination charges and tax and all that good stuff? hmm.

yea i'm working on that one... actually i've been keeping in contact with two salesmen from the same dealership (one's internet).. that'll be interesting.

🙁

I don't know how the two dealers from same dealership will work - they will figure out your games soon - but two from different dealerships will work. Be always ready to walk out and leave your number in case they can figure out something better. Even if tey say they can't they may be able to.

I often approach situations like this with a scowl on my face ready to walk!

Get the MT and you can smoke Rossman!

1) TTL = Tax Title License, here in Oregon it was only $113 as of June 2002 🙂

2) Playing dealers against each other can be lots of fun 🙂

I only have a sensible Accord SE 140hp 4 banger with automatic transmission.

I'm sure that a lowly Nissan Sentra could smoke me 🙂
