What would be a good case for?

I am wanting to build a new computer and I am wanting a new mid tower case. What would be a good case that has a window, fairly decent price and a decent power supply? Not a big gamer, so doesn't have to be the best cooling case around.

Check with Jonnyguru for info on PSUs.
This is an expressed concern on cases bundled with their own PSUs.
Certain PSUs like Ultra (except X2 & X-Finity) is recommend to stay away from.

You can do more harm to your system when you buy cheap. Advice given works when advice is followed. Your choice.

I picked up a Lian Li PC60APLUSII silver w/ side window(through Newegg.com) and it was a solid build with easy access, room for the Enhance 5150GH PSU(through Ewiz.com) and it was solid construction. The Lian Li in silver is around $125.00 while the black version runs around $135.00 give or take $5.00. Solid aluminum build so it is light weight, no sharp edges and has room for just about anything you would want. Has space for four 5 1/2" drives and plenty of hard drive space, I believe there are five or six and I am running just two with nice air flow through them. I was able to fit in my Sapphire X1900XT 256mb video card with ease and had enough room for two other PCIs and a few other things I put in the back(2 USB/Switch for Green Cathode lighting). I love the case, but its only the second new age case that I have dealt with, the Raidmax Smilodon I had ordered broke and am very happy now that it had come damaged in shipping.

Few cases come equipped with decent PSUs (Antec bundled PSUs used to be dependable) (the Arctic Cooling Silentiums are exceptions - tough Seasonic PSUs), so most here will suggest to pick one up separately like the Enhance ENP-5140GH from eWiz via Froogle. So if your budget is $100, things might be tight to get both.

But here is an ultra aluminus (silver) for $30. after rebate: http://shop3.outpost.com/product/5027995. So if you're willling to wait a bit to keep the price under $100. it's hard to beat. You could even get the 5150GH and still keep the total under $100. after rebate.

Cooler Master Centurion 534 with window. Worked on one just this weekend. It's a pretty large case but man is it good looking (and good cooling too).

The X-infinity doesn't seem to get a good score from those who bought it. Comes with a PSU that you'll have to try to dump on eBay or closet for an emergency backup. Very unsophisticated inside. The Aluminus I mentioned, though not quite as blingy has many more ease-of-use fearures - in fact it has most of my Casitude Criteria points covered.

No prob!

Yes, 'rice' and 'bling' are entirely two different things...

I don't think this guy can afford 'rice', but 'bling' can be had pretty cheap!

Personally, when it comes to 'rice', I think an Asus Vento 3600 is hard to beat, but ricers don't like windows, so it's a moot point...

I second that choice, although I have the silver version. Great case. Comes with 2x 120mm and a 80mm top blowhole. Then go and get a good PSU like Enermax or Corsair.

sounds like the crowd has spoken, the Lian Li PC-7B Plus II seems to be the preffered case. Vin, I don't know what you were thinking about when you thought of the asus case. That case is way too alien looking for me. To each his own I guess.

It doesn't have the window though, I really want something with a window. I want to make this computer original with different looks to it.

I think that this might be the winner.

I would have to get a different PSU for this case right? I don't know a whole lot about the PSU's or really anything that has to do with building a computer, if you didn't already know. So all the help that I can get is very welcomed and appreciated. Just want to say thanks in advance.

Smilodon seems to get broken in shipping frequently (as well as most other Raidmax except perhaps for the X1). But it is a nice case. jab-tech.com is out east of OKC - check their site to see if they have so you could drive there and pick it up... I don't think he carries Raidmax though.

You can get the Smilodon w/o PSU. - that's the way to go and get a great Enhance 5140/5150GH PSU from eWiz. I think ol' smiley lacks only one of my Casitude Criteria.

Atrix doesn't look bad either - wonder why no 120mm fan on the rear? Easy to mod for one tho.
