Don't get the Seagate 7200.8. The 7200.7 is faster and the newer 7200.9 is already out.

Samsungs and Hitachi's are good buys.

I got that SATA Seagate in the top link yesterday. It's a very nice drive and the speed is more than adequate.

I don't like samsung anymore, I'd prefer WD or MDT. samsung make defective drives occasionally so it's not perfect either but the fact that it tend to make more noise then other hd, it is just as bad as maxtor.
