my motherboard recently died, and i've decided to go socket 754. i'm a bit short on cash for a motherboard, so hopefully i can get a decent price for this processor.

i was able to hit 2.3 ghz stable on air last time i checked, but my ram was limiting me. it probably can go higher.

how much would you guys sell this for? i want your advice before i go posting it in the for sale/trade forum.

thanks

i know what they go for. but mine is unlocked, so i'll assume it is worth a bit more, whether it be $5-10 dollars.

by the way.. thanks for the help

i'd say it's worth $50.. Why would someone buy it over a mobile barton though? Those are unlocked and clock way higher. You gotta give on the price

2/3 of whatever newgg charges if you have heat or are a long time ATer. But I would expect about half - neweggs are new and they have plenty of customer service and RMA etc. Still, it amazes me what people ask for and sometimes get around here. The classic place to make a better sale price is ebay because of the buying frenzy and less educated people.
