I like building computers. And I like AMD as a company, even if they are in a regrettable slump ATM. So here's a general question for you guys: what would an AMD machine do well at? I mean any family, but it has to be the most recent generation.

Web server, NAS, media, gaming, development, whatever it is, it's all good, I can ALWAYS make use of an extra computer. Thanks.

A llano is great for low end gaming, htpc and other places where you don't need discrete graphics but the graphics on the chip is sufficient.

A bulldozer chip is cheap near top performance when you have a program that scales to 8 cores using Integer math well.

All other circumstances I can think of Intel has a faster solution at a similar or cheaper price point.

Llano makes for a terrific living room PC for HTPC and light gaming duties. All indications so far seem that Trinity will be even better as well.

Thanks for the suggestions u guys. Htpc and light gamer, that sounds cool. Have to get some DVDs and Netflix going on
