What would America be like if the Confederate Army won the Civil War?

Was watching the movie, Glory, and I thought about this. How much different would the United States (if we would even be called that) be if the Union lost? Would slavery still exists? etc.

Probably not, i doubt slavery would still exist simply because of the social reforms that Europe went through, the Confederacy would have been put through really heavy political pressures. However i would think racism would be a little worse.

The USA wouldn't be around, or if it was (in whatever form) it wouldn't be a world power. Despite my distate for a strong central government, there were many things lacking in the original union.

It would be a much more civilized and harmonious society that's for sure.

now hopefully we'll have another revolution and get rid of the northeast and califonia.

one can dream though.

I didn't think the confeds wanted to take over the north, they just wanted to do their own thing. So if they did win, they might still be their own country. I wonder how this would've affected the rest of the world. No united America to help in WW2. Maybe no Vietnam. 😕
