Ignore Katrina, ignore what just happened. Theres plenty of time for blamestorming and that fun will start tomorow. Lets just imagine what a system that could deliver clean potable water and boots on the ground in 3 days or less would look like. Is this something we can afford?
99% of the time its not gonna be uitilized. But oh boy, is it nice to have when needed. Water and security buys you lots of time, now your prob is the sick and injured. If you can deal with them the uninjured ones are ok for a week or even longer.
Lots can be done in a week. But without potable water your on a much closer timetable. Its just this easy, with water you got 3 weeks, without clean water you got 3 days before healthy people start dieing.
Talk to me guys what we got dosn't seem to be what we need. What would what we need look like if you were to see it? If it was your job to inventory it to insure avalibility, what would you be looking for?
edited for spelling, can you believe it?
