What wire gauge for Klipsch Ultra 5.1?

I need some longer speaker wires. Is there a recommended gauge for this set of speakers?

It's only the rear two speakers that need longer wire. Once I find the right gauge, I will buy from Radio Shack.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I do know the older Logitech Z's have RCA cables instead of speaker wire (Logi changed them towards summer 05). Looks like the Klipsches still have normal speaker wire pic

ah seems they wised up. earlier klipsch had headphone plugs on the speaker end, a stupid design. the sub had normal connectors. very important for surround systems not to limit you on wire choice and length..routing surround wires is always a pain

Done that.. it does it even without a source connected. The pots don't sound dirty at all either.. I have no idea what happened. One day I just started hearing it out of nowhere, and it's been there since. I usually use headphones partially because of that, heh.

Have you tried it on a different wall socket?
Mine doesn't hum at all...

As far as the wire, I replaced mine with 16 gauge. I can't say I noticed any difference.

Not recently, but I believe it's on a line that is power conditioned (filtered). I'll probably give it a try when I get un-lazy.
