wouldn't do anything to it

make anon call to cops about suspicious box in wood with a white powder in it - could be anthrax
Pretty much this. I enjoy my life and lifestyle too much to put it into a lot of jeopardy. I doubt it's just in the movies - if someone's missing that much cocaine, they're going to come looking for it. And, they'll have better connections to figure out who just started selling it. So, you have the bad guys who don't appreciate 5 million dollars of product being stolen from them, you've got the police who would love to make a 5 million dollar bust, you've got all the seedy people you'd have to deal with... No way in hell I'm getting caught up in that.

I'll make a list of everything I know about selling street drugs:
1)

Yeah, trying to sell it would work out great for me.

What would I do? Nothing.

1) i'm not a "badass" so being a street seller is not going to happen. Also i know NOBODY that i could get to do it.

2) I'm also stupid. I would do something that latter i would look back and go "lol" while dying or in jail.

knowing this i would just point it out to whoever ask about it. hopefully get a little "reward" for it. other then that? not calling anyone or nothing.

Although tempting, i would leave it as it is.

With cocaine you have enemies on both sides of the fence.
The police and the criminals/owners of the cocaine.
Only one person has to see you or suspect something and starts gossiping. And then either the nice officer or the not so nice owner is going to be all over you.

I typed about 3 different answers before I decided it would be best not to say anything.

Without a shadow of a doubt, I'd be happy with a lifetime supply of cocaine; I voted as such.

Go on a cross country trip to try and sell it in South America with a country star, angry black lady, coke fiend, accountant/lawyer, and my elderly mother.

Leave it. I'm not like the dude in No Country for Old Men. Dont need no psycho with a captive bolt pistol chasing my ass around town. Dont know anyone to sell it to, and I dont use it. Now, if it was cash I'd be tempted to keep it. Yeah, and I know cash is what the guy in No Country for Old Men took, but if you dont go back to the scene you should be alright.

Take it & sell it. Since someone will problably read this from a google search.
Tips & hints for selling massive amounts like $5m.
Move it, split it up into smaller stacks & store them at different locations.
Move out of your house/apt & tell no one anything. No forwarding addresses.
If you have any drug connections that know you, never ever sell to them or mention anything about your find. "There's no such thing as a non-violent drug dealer"
Spend some money on different background search companies, buy searches in bulk. When dealing with other criminals, being able to know more about them is important.
Never do a deal first time you meet some1.
Don't do deals arranged more than 24 hrs ago.
Don't do deals in the same city/county you met the guy in.
Barter for other high value commodities, like guns, or loose diamonds.

Your still fucked cause the guys that like to burn people alive with tires around their necks are looking for you.:colbert:

Could also be plaster of Paris, flour, talcum powder, I wouldn't know the difference and I wouldn't want to be identified in case is was anthrax or cocaine or nefarious substance and the clown who considered himself the rightful owners is going to be POed. I then tried to figure out with today's caller ID and the length's the cops and crooks might go to and probably by the time if figured what to do it was would have been secured by someone else. Walk away sounds prudent if not the responsible thing to do.

I'd be kinda tempted to sell it but to who? You don't exactly go on Facebook or Kijiji and advertise you have coke for sale. On the other hand I'd also be thinking that it might be a drop off for a drug deal, someone might even be watching it, so perhaps I should leave it alone. I'd be tempted to call the cops, but I'd be worried it somehow backfires on me. So really, I'd probably just leave it.

That sort of "inventory" does not just go missing without a regional mid-level trafficker or dealer knowing it. If you went around telling anyone or suddenly appeared in the drug trade of that area, the rightful owner(s) are going to hear about it and come looking either for their drugs or the money you've made. So maybe move 1000 miles away and then go into business, but even there, you'd not want to tell anyone how you came into it because word travels.

When we were in Costa Rica we visited a place way out in the boonies away from most civilization. We decided to take a dolphin spotting tour, which turned out to be one guy in a small fishing boat who occasionally took tourists out on the water.

I had a coworker from Costa Rica, awesome guy, and he told me that it was safer out in the boonies than in the city. Because of your story, I would have thought the opposite.

Oh, and they have muchos perros all over the place.
