I think the "will you drink alone" question should be worded "Have a drink alone". It sounds more like getting drunk, and you already have that option and there is a huge difference between having a beer after you get home from work and winding down by yourself or killing a case by yourself...

I've done all of those things alone at one point or another. Some of them I only did once alone and did not enjoy it (concert), so will not do it by myself again. Others I've only done once on my own because I've only had a chance to do it once (vacation).

Sometimes people are annoying and I just want be alone, so I have no problem going out on my own if need be.

I wouldn't do almost all of those things alone or otherwise. That should have been the follow up question to each of those to see how many people actually give the slightest fuck. As it stands, there's no reason to think those that answer no would under any circumstances answer yes, very very flawed. BAD! You should be a statistician in fact.

I see movies, I don't GO to movies. I don't over-pay for food either, nor would I pay thousands of dollars to sit on a beach vaguely different than one near by. For public performances, if you consider watching two bums fight over a park bench a performance, sometimes, but this isn't something I make reservations for.

My definition of a vacation is time spent w/ people I love, more specifically GF or wife. If I wanted space and get away from everyone, I could've gone to the local bar and drink till I black out, and at a much lower cost than traveling.

Same here. Hell, I prefer going to movies alone. Most people I know lack proper movie theater etiquette. I wouldn't even mind going to an exotic destination all by myself - I am good with people. I rule at making single-serving friends.

(BTW, I don't drink so I substituted pot with 'drink' and getting drunk with 'majorly stoned')

Sadly enough I've done everything on that list alone.

Vacationing alone is the most fun though. Without anyone holding you back you are free to do whatever you want sans arguments, plus you meet so many more people when you are on your own which leads to insane times.

I'm surprised to see how many people will drink alone. I drink. I drink a lot. My buddy and I have a standing record in downtown st pete for tabs well over 75 bucks 16 days in a row at one bar. I have an appetizer beer every time I eat downtown somewhere. But I won't drink alone. Not one beer will I ever drink when no one else is around. Its a social thing and should stay that way. I can't do it.

Vacation? If I lost my job somehow today you wouldn't see me on this forum for 5 months. I'd be in Costa Rica without a soul that I know.
