i don't understand why people want to be using tv-out...the quality isn't very good unless you have an hdtv with dvi or component->vga adapter?

19" NEC at whatever reso runs well. Currently have a ti4600 but plan on a 6800gt when I can find a good deal on one that's in-stock somewhere with a good reputation.

17'' 12x10 hopefully at high settings if I 'll have my 6800GT next week.
Otherwise 10x7 medium or high(if possible) settings with my 9800pro

Awww come on..... same system as the hardocp dream system except a 3800+ instead of FX-53 :( I am actually trying to hold off on my step up until mid-October (near the end of my 90 day time frame). I'm hoping by then they will have a 512 Mb card refresh? I just received my card last week (Friday) and finished my build over the weekend (still trying to finish far cry).

Check it out.... he says the 2 Gb of ram should makeup for the video card ram defficiency: Link. Do you think the 512 Kb of cache would make that much difference?
