We can guess on some basic features:

LPGA 1366
6 DIMM (Three banks)DDR3
1-3 PCIe x16
1-2 PCIe x1-x4
1-2 PCI
5.1 HD Audio
2-4 Lan Ports
Onboard RAID

But what else can we guess it to have?

Native Crossfire & SLI support? Or will there still be a need for MCP200(SLI chip?)?

When should we expect the release of these boards?

What features do you want to see?

Personally I want the above mentioned SLI/Crossfire support without the thought of switching boards. Thoughts or comments?

Everything featured on current motherboards (CPU sockets aren't features).

The End.

I'm pretty sure the current intel boards have onboard 7.1 audio not 5.1, but maybe i'm just not awake yet.

You are probably right. I don't know everything and seem to have lost a lot of knowledge I once had. Comes with age i guess :p :D

It depends on the audio codec, which range from 2.0 up to 10.0, though I don't think any current HDA controllers actually support more than eight independent channels. 5.1 can still be found on some value priced boards, but 7.1 is more common.

I want 12 SATA/eSATA natively.

Even 10 would be nice.

I want a way to run some of the sata ports in IDE emulation mode, and some of them in AHCI/RAID mode at the same time. This is currently possible with a ICH9R/Jmicron configuration.
