what will happen?

i have a friend who plans on putting a 175 in an a8v. according to asus that board does not support opterons only x2's. if this is true and he tries to run it. What will happen? thanks in advance.

I've run an Opty 146 and now a 165 on my A8V-Deluxe, no problems.

huh. guess i was wrong on that one. didn't think the via chipset would do it.
